Are you concerned about students getting more interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)? Do you know of other programs in your community where educators and parents are trying to work with students on STEM subjects but they lack access to resources? Do you wish that you could help? You may be an excellent candidate to be a National Science Center (NSC) Ambassador.

NSC Ambassadors are industry representatives (employees), educators, government representatives or private citizens who want to help the NSC get the word out about the NSC National Education Outreach Programs (See Outreach Programs under the Educational Outreach tab on the front of the Website). NSC Ambassadors are our fingers in their communities. |
The NSC seeks corporate support to reduce or practically eliminate the cost of implementing our programs. After the NSC has acquired corporate support for our programs, our challenge is to identify and recruit deserving students, with their supporting teachers and parents, to participate. This becomes a difficult task for the NSC without some local community help. NSC Ambassadors can help put NSC Program Managers in touch with local educators or special program coordinators (Boys & Girls Clubs, 4H Clubs, etc.) where there are students who may be potential NSC Outreach Program participants. This initial contact is often a critical step to starting the process to get students involved.
