The National Science Center's Science To Go Large Assembly Program is a 50-minute, highly interactive program utilizing large-scale museum-quality exhibits that demonstrate several fundamental physical science principles and concepts in a high-energy environment. Trained NSC Demonstrators will take over your gymnasium or auditorium, transitioning it into an interactive, mobile science laboratory.

• Maximum of 300 students
• Allow one hour each for set up and tear down (total of 3 hours)
• Held in school's auditorium or gymnasium
• Electricity required for all shows
• Controlled lighting is required
• Sound system will be supplied by NSC

Have a hair-raising experience with static electricity using the Van de Graaff generator. Interact with high frequency alternating current from the 300,000-volt Tesla Coil. Discover what causes lightning and how transformers work with our high-powered induction coil. Explore plasma, the fourth state of matter, with a state-of-the-art plasma ball and more.

Let us cater to your educational needs. Take in all the knowledge you mind can hold as we explore a mixture of scientific concepts using totally cool demonstrations. Look at the world differently while we demonstrate vision, light, and color using our visible light and infrared detecting cameras. Be in awe as we discuss center of mass while sitting on a platform of nails. Look in amazement as we send a normal ping pong ball through a cardboard box to demonstrate the power of air pressure. From catapults to color charts and simple machines to electricity, see what’s being served up on our scientific buffet.

Cost:$350 for first program and $200 for each additional program
Special Combination Rates:
   Half day special rate - $500; includes one large assembly and two small assemblies
   Full day special rate - $900; includes two large and four small assemblies

Payment Policy: Payment or a school purchase order is due two weeks PRIOR to the presentation date.

Travel Fees:$.50 per mile for roundtrip distances of 50 miles or more. Meals and lodging billed at $125 per night per person if program necessitates leaving before 7 AM or arriving home later than 8 PM or for multiple days.

Cancellation Policy: A fee of $100.00 will apply to any group who fails to give a minimum notice of two weeks prior to the program date when canceling a program commitment.
