Volunteer Opportunities

The goals of the Volunteer Program at the National Science Center's Fort Discovery are to support the programs and activities of the facility through assisting staff with various tasks, to enhance the quality of the service given to Fort Discovery visitors, and to foster the relationship between the Science Center and the Augusta community.

We also offer a summer program for High School Students. Call for information.

General Requirements for All Positions

Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age, work one 4-hour shift per month for at least 3 months, attend orientation and training, become knowledgeable of the volunteer handbook, and wear a Fort Discovery-provided I.D. badge.

How to Apply

You may submit your Fort Discovery Volunteer Application in one of 3 ways:

  -  FAX to our Program Manager
  -  Online Privacy Policy

To mail or FAX your application:

  2. Print the application form and complete it.
